‘It’s on for young and old’
Seniors Week aims to:
-improve community attitudes towards older people and ageing
-facilitate community participation and activity by older people, including those from Indigenous and culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
-enhance community connections and inter-generational relationships.
Sovereign Funerals does this every week of the year through our partnership with InterSeed.
But this year during Seniors Week, we also hosted a morning tea…
We had a great turnout for our Seniors Week Celebration Morning Tea. Kindergarten & Primary School kids from Carmichael College & Carmichael Kids Child Care entertained our seniors and it’s hard to say who enjoyed it more!
Sovereign Funerals also participated in a Seniors Week event hosted by North Lakes Community Women’s Group…
‘What a great Cent Auction we had! It was a fabulous meeting with record attendance and taking in excess of $1,100 with the added bonus of a delightful morning tea supplied by Sovereign Funerals, in recognition of Seniors Week, thank you Rose.’ Sam Stevens – North Lakes Community Women’s Group Inc.
